International Women's Day 2025 is particularly significant as this year we mark the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, a global blueprint for advancing women's rights.

While progress has been made, challenges remain. Women and girls worldwide continue to face discrimination, violence, and barriers to education, leadership, and economic empowerment. At the same time, emerging issues such as climate justice and digital transformation call for urgent action. Today, this struggle is compounded by alarming pushback against gender equality, from regressive policies to cultural narratives seeking to roll back hard-won rights.
