The Public Service: a driving force behind the Mauritian progress, prosperity and nation building

The UN Public Service Day intends to celebrate the value and virtue of public service to the community; highlight the contribution of public service in the development process; recognize the work of public servants and encourage young people to pursue careers in the public sector. This year the Ministry of Public Service, Administrative and Institutional Reforms of the Government of the Republic of Mauritius published a Souvenir Magazine to "...recognize and honour the vital role and contribution of Public Officers and the Public Service...in all spheres of life..." The United Nations Resident Coordinator for Mauritius and Seychelles, Ms. Lisa Simrique Singh contributed an article entitled: 

" Fostering Innovation Amid Global Challenges: A Public Sector Perspective."
